Creating a one of a kind piece with the jeweler
One-Day 3-5 hour class for 1 or 2 beginner students.
We offer clients an opportunity to create a piece of jewelry with Dan Balk during a special custom jewelry making class. Many clients have expressed an interest in watching Dan create their piece in his studio. This is a unique experience to be a part of the process without taking an educational approach but still having a connection with their piece from the concept to completion.
In advance, clients will work with Nataly Balk to design a piece of jewelry. Before the class date, Dan will make sure all the materials and stones are ready. On the day of the class, both the participants and Dan will be ready to hand make your designer ring, pendant, bracelet, cuff, bangles, earrings or brooch. Clients usually go home with their finished jewelry.
Goldsmith and artist, Dan Balk, designs and fabricates every piece of jewelry from raw materials from his studio in Tampa, Florida. Each piece is one of a kind, designed by Dan, who creates his own sterling silver, 18K, and 14K alloys that he then fashions, mills, forges, fuses, and brazes into miniature sculptures for personal adornment. Dan selects and sets each stone, often performing his own lapidary work on select stones. Dan has complete contact and artistic connection with each piece of fine art jewelry from concept to collection.
Custom Jewelry Class Fees
- Jewelry piece in sterling silver starts at $350.00.
- Jewelry piece in 14K starts at $1,000.00.
- A non-refundable reservation fee of half is required. (A check or C.C. is needed to reserve the class date.
- The balance is due on the date of the class in cash or C.C. (*no checks are accepted on the class date.)
